At roughly 4 AM this morning the Salem Education Association (aka the teachers union) and the Salem school district reached a tentative bargaining agreement. We won’t know the details until later today after the SEA Executive Board has a chance to go over the finer points. After that, the agreement still must be ratified by both the School Board and the SEA membership. So we’re not out of the woods yet.
But I’m feeling more optimistic than I have in months that maybe, just maybe, we’ll be able to finish the remodeling of the bedrooms and the bathroom soon. (I also see an iPod photo and new Canon SD300 digital camera in my future.)
