While Italy took out the Czech Republic 2-0, the USA floundered badly in its game with Ghana. An uncharacteristic mistake by Claudio Reyna led to the first breakaway goal. The US evened it on a nice play by Beasley and good finish from Dempsey. Horrible call nets the Black Stars a PK which they have no trouble converting.
US accomplishing next to nothing in the second half, the lone exception being a McBride header off the bar, and that’s it. Three games and out for the US.
